Crowne Plaza Carlton demonstrates Pelligra's capability to regenerate and reposition existing hospitality assets for long-term use. Acquired in 2020 as the former Rydges on Swanston, the five-storey property underwent an extensive refurbishment in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, transforming its 107 guest rooms, public spaces, meeting facilities and external façade into a contemporary premium hotel.
Outcome
Completed in 2026, Crowne Plaza Carlton has established a new premium hospitality offering on the edge of Melbourne's CBD and became Carlton's first internationally branded hotel. The regenerated property provides 107 guest rooms, Fico Restaurant and Bar and more than 270 square metres of flexible meeting and event space, supporting business, leisure and visitor activity within the Carlton precinct.
